Its warm, inviting atmosphere allows guests to feel at ease from the moment they walk through the door. Our open design is perfect for mingling or relaxing while you prepare for your services.
Aveda, the Only Choice.
The first time Elements of Design Salon & Spa owner Lisa Hounshell was introduced to Aveda products in 1987, she knew she wanted to be a part of their mission—creating a healthier experience for guests, service providers and the world. An industry leader when it comes to the environment, Aveda products are naturally derived and work beautifully. Plus, the company goes the extra mile to be eco-friendly.
Making Dreams A Reality.
As the daughter of a small business owner, Lisa Hounshell dreamed of owning her own business from a young age. While she dabbled in interior design, her true calling was hair. She worked and taught in salons for several years, learning the ropes of the salon industry—even working with hair shows.
Once she was introduced to Aveda, she knew it was time to move forward with her dreams of owning her own salon. Not only did she fall in love with the products, but the company’s passion for environmentally-friendly, naturally-derived products matched her own. Then, in 1992 when Lisa was just 28, she opened Elements of Design Salon & Spa, a five-chair boutique salon. The name, an interior design reference, captures the true nature of a hairstylist’s craft as an artist—taking light, shape, texture and overall style into consideration.
While the salon may have grown throughout the years, the salon’s commitment to giving guests a top-notch experience while making them feel good (and comfortable) every time has never waivered.
